Island Peak Climb & Everest Three Passes Trek: Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital city.
Day 2: Take a scenic flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. Trek to Phakding, a charming village nestled amidst the mountains.
Day 3: Ascend to Namche Bazaar, a bustling hub known as the “Gateway to Everest.” Enjoy stunning mountain views and begin acclimatization for the higher altitude.
Day 4: Explore Namche Bazaar, visiting the Sherpa Heritage House or venturing out for a short acclimatization hike.
Day 5: Journey to Thame, a traditional Sherpa village known for its unique gompa and spectacular views of Ama Dablam.
Day 6: Rise early and embark on the challenging climb to Lungden. Take in breathtaking panoramic views as you prepare for the high passes ahead.
Day 7: Conquer the Renjo La pass (5,345m) – your first big test! Descend to the mesmerizing Gokyo Lakes, a cluster of turquoise gems nestled amongst towering peaks.
Day 8: Hike to Gokyo Ri (5,436m) for unparalleled views of Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu. Descend to Thangna for the night.
Day 9: Challenge yourself with the Cho La pass (5,430m). Celebrate your achievement with stunning views before reaching Lobuche.
Day 10: Hike to Gorakshep, a high-altitude settlement offering breathtaking views of Everest. Continue to Everest Base Camp (5,346m), a legendary spot for adventurers worldwide.
Day 11: Ascend Kala Patthar (5,643m) for a panoramic sunrise view of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks. Descend to Lobuche for the night.
Day 12: Conquer the Kongma La pass (5,535m), the highest pass on the trek, and descend to Chukung, a picturesque valley surrounded by glaciers.
Day 13: Acclimatization climb Chhukung Ri (5,546m) for breathtaking views and improved high-altitude fitness. Return to Chukung.
Day 14: Hike to Island Peak Base Camp (5,200m), your launching pad for the exciting summit push.
Day 15: Prepare for the climb with training exercises at Island Peak Base Camp.
Day 16: Summit Island Peak (6,189m) – the highlight of your adventure! Enjoy incredible panoramic views before descending back to Chhukung.
Day 17: Rest and relax in Pangboche, a beautiful village nestled amidst colorful prayer flags.
Day 18: Retrace your steps back to Namche Bazaar, enjoying familiar sights and a well-deserved break.
Day 19: Descend to Lukla, celebrating your achievements with fellow trekkers.
Day 20: Take a scenic flight back to Kathmandu.
Day 21: Explore Kathmandu’s vibrant culture or relax before your departure.
Day 22: Depart Kathmandu with unforgettable memories of your Himalayan adventure.
Inclusions:
- Domestic flights: Roundtrip flight tickets between Kathmandu and Lukla.
- Accommodation: Tea house lodges for the duration of the trek.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the trek.
- Permits: All necessary trekking permits and national park entrance fees for the Island Peak Trek.
- Guide: A professional and experienced English-speaking guide throughout the trek.

Exclusions:
- International flights: Roundtrip flight tickets to and from Kathmandu.
- Visas: Nepal visa fees.
- Travel insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and should cover medical emergencies, helicopter evacuation, trip cancellation, etc.
- Personal expenses: Beverages (outside of meals), snacks, personal equipment (clothing, sleeping bag, trekking poles), laundry, tipping, phone calls, internet access, and any other personal expenses.
- Departure taxes: Airport departure tax at Kathmandu airport.
