Mt. Makalu (8463m) is the world’s fifth tallest mountain peak. Mt. Makalu lies 14 miles east of Mt. Everest, in the center of the Everest area. The Makalu Himal is surrounded by deep, remote valleys of the Arun and Barun rivers.

Arrival in Kathmandu, Day 1 (1350m).

Day 2–3: Sightseeing and a seminar on travel preparation.

Day 4: Fly from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar (920m), then hike to Manebhanjyang (1100m).

Day 5 (1420m).Manebhanjyang to Kuwapani,

Day 06Kuwapani to Num (1800m)

Day 07: Sheduwa to Num (1510m).

Day 8: Tashigaon to Sheduwa (2070m).

Day 9 :Tashigaon to Khongma, Day 9 (3760m).

Day ten: From Khongma to Sanopokhari (1700m).

Day 11 :Sanopokhari to Mumbuk,  (3530m).

12th Day: From Mumbuk to Yangle Kharka (3600m).

Day 13   :Yangle Kharka to Hillary Base Camp  (4850m).

Day 14   : Makalu Base Camp to Hillary Base Camp (4870m)


Climbing Period (days 15-46) (summit Makalu 8480m).


Day 46  Clean Base Camp

Day 47: Mumbuk Trek

Day 48:Trek to Kauma

Day 49: Sedhuwa Trek

Day 50: Chichira Trek

Day 51: Trek to Tumlingtar on the 30th of May

Day 52: Take a flight to Kathmandu.

Day 53 – free day in Kathmandu

Debriefing at the Ministry on Day 54

Departure on Day 55
